We’ve now had a chance to do a couple dives at “B” which we expect may turn out to be the major cave system on this large property.
Our focus so far has been getting to know the front part of the cave, and doing some initial survey work.
So far we’ve found a branchy, highly decorated and shallow freshwater cave that looks a little like something we’ve seen before, but has unique elements too, such as dominant decoration from the floor (stalagmites) and a really cool “flat” ceiling that is pretty unique. There are a series of large airdromes, and the cave is quite branchy, with a tricky and small entrance we’ve been using so far that may turn out to be unnecessary as we explore the complex entrance further.
